Syd Boyne
Senior Vice President
Syd Boyne is the longest serving employee of Bart and Associates. He has over twenty-five years' experience in most areas of the computer industry. This experience has been garnered through all phases of the system life cycle and encompasses applications in industries and disciplines as diverse as financial accounting, insurance, publishing and law enforcement. He has a proven track record for consistently guiding projects to completion and satisfaction of the client, regardless of the industry or technology. An excellent communicator, Syd also uses his personal skills to successfully recruit and acquire contracts for Bart & Associates. A few of his accomplishments at B&A include:
- recruiting many of the talented, senior software engineers
- acquiring sub-contracts with IBM on the IRS Modernization project
- providing technical leadership at Customs and Border Protection (CBP) during and following the Y2K conversion effort
- building a data transfer system at MCI across the entire corporate network and its platforms
- heading a team tasked by the World Bank to conduct an IT study for the Kazakhstan government
- providing technical support in the Air Manifest subsystem of the Automated Commercial System (ACS) at CBP, where some of the major projects have included the restructuring and normalization of databases
Prior to joining B&A, Syd was a Project Manager/IT Architect with Management Information Consulting Inc, a lead systems engineer at IBM and a lead programmer at Electronic Data Systems.
Syd has coached soccer in Northern Virginia for fourteen years, including his son's travel soccer team. He is also an active volunteer for food distribution at the Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC). Syd also volunteers as a truck driver for the Falls Church Community Service (FCCS) which involves the pickup and delivery of furniture donations to needy households in the Falls Church area.
