Internal Revenue Service
The Internal Revenue Service (IRS), a branch of the Department of Treasury, deals directly with more Americans than any other institution, public or private. In choosing an enterprise resource planning package to modernize their financial systems, the IRS selected SAP as their software vendor of choice. B&A, as a subcontractor to SAP Public Services, has been involved in all aspects of the project from blueprinting to realization to go-live since 2002. The project concluded with a successful go-live on October 1, 2004. B&A continues today in a production support role for the IRS while additionally enhancing the initial operating capabilities of the SAP system.
B&A has been involved in the implementation of General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Controlling, Procurement, Materials Management, Funds Management, Business Warehouse, and IS Public Sector-Federal Government. These modules, as part of an integrated solution, have replaced the IRS's existing financial systems and interface to several legacy systems.
Specific areas where B&A has provided SAP expertise include:
- Project Management
- Finance/Controlling
- Funds Management
- IS Public Sector - Federal Government
