The Internal Revenue Service (IRS), an agency in Department of Treasury, services more Americans than any other institution, public or private. In choosing an enterprise resource planning package to modernize its financial systems, the IRS selected SAP as its software vendor of choice. B&A, as a subcontractor to SAP Public Services, has been involved in all aspects of the project from blueprinting to deploying, since 2002. The project concluded with a successful activation on October 1, 2004. Today, B&A continues in a production support role for the IRS and continues to enhance the initial operating capabilities of the SAP system.
B&A has been involved in the implementation of General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Controlling, Procurement, Materials Management, Funds Management, Business Warehouse, and IS Public Sector-Federal Government modules. These modules, as part of an integrated solution, have replaced the IRS’s previous financial systems as well as interface to several of the legacy systems.
