B&A continues efforts with NPA to say ‘Grazie Grazie’ to the United States Capitol Police
McLean, VA – September 8, 2021 – To show unwavering support once again for the men and women of the United States Capitol Police (USCP), B&A and partner Natural Products Association (NPA) provided meals and energy drinks during their Training Workshop centered around learning the facts about Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) on September 7th and 8th. The USCP has always been a symbol of security by protecting the Congress: its members, employees, visitors, and facilities. Bearing the weight of their important role for the U.S. Capitol and the traumatic events that occurred in January, it is important for the USCP to take a step back and focus on their mental health. “Our U.S. Capitol Police make daily sacrifices to ensure our safety and none of that should come at the cost of their mental well-being.” stated Jonathan Evans, B&A President and CEO. “We are honored to have had the opportunity once again to serve the USCP through this event in support of their service.”
The training seminar was held in 4 sessions during which locally owned D.C. deli, Grazie Grazie, provided delicious breakfast and lunch meals for all the USCP participants. After witnessing the gratitude of the USCP from the April meal donations, it was instinctual for B&A to once more support the USCP during this important training session.
B&A has also reconnected with previous partner, NPA, who contributed C4 energy drinks through its member Nutrabolt. “Law enforcement officers put their lives on the line every day to keep our city safe. NPA and the entire natural products industry want to ensure we’re showing gratitude for the time officers spend away from their families. These meals are only a small token of our appreciation, but we will continue to take every small step we can,” said Dr. Daniel Fabricant, NPA President and CEO.
B&A remains committed to the importance of honoring such brave men and women in the DMV area. From the hospital healthcare staff in 2020 to present day USCP efforts, our mission is to bring a moment of comfort through the form of a meal. Whether a single event like a pandemic and a security disruption or a long-term experience like mental well-being, B&A and its partners will continue to show their appreciation for these essential groups.
