B&A Executives Recognized for Outstanding Leadership

McLean, VA – September 23, 2021 – Effective leadership, especially in times of uncertainty, is crucial to the success of an organization like B&A. Two of B&A’s executive leaders, Shana Hammond-Adler and Kelly Baltz, have been recognized for their significant contributions to B&A and their respective leadership communities.

Virginia Business Magazine launched their inaugural Virginia Business Women in Leadership Award on June 30th, 2021. The award was granted to a total of 30 women out of the 200 nominated who show excellence in their career and provide a stellar example for other women leaders. Shana Hammond-Adler was among the 30 women chosen to join this inaugural award. Shana is key to B&A’s business development and growth as the Vice President of Capture and Proposal while also leading B&A’s marketing initiatives. When asked what it takes to be an effective leader, Shana said “You have to have the courage to lead, even if the choices are not popular”. Whether interacting with employees, clients, or partners, her bottom line is always “empathy, you can’t forget that they are human beings”.
