04.15.21
McLean, VA – April 15, 2021 – To show admiration and gratitude for the hard-working men and women of the United States Capitol Police, B&A and partner NPA are providing them with 250 meals and energy drinks. “Supporting our local community has been a key part of B&A’s values since its inception in 1988,†stated Jonathan Evans, B&A President and CEO. “Amidst the challenges facing our nation’s capital this year, the United States Capitol Police have provided unwavering support and protection. Though a small gesture in comparison to their daily sacrifices, taking this great opportunity to provide them with meals as a token of our appreciation has been beyond rewarding.â€
In continuation of their 2020 partnership of feeding front-line healthcare workers at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, B&A turned to locally owned D.C. deli, Grazie Grazie. Grazie Grazie’s Owner, Casey Patten, stated, “Lunch for the Capitol Police was a no brainer. These folks deserve a million “Grazies†and I’m proud to be able to contribute in a small way.â€
B&A joined forces with NPA who is contributing C4 energy drinks through its member Nutrabolt. “These brave men and women do so much to keep us safe every day we are in or around the Capitol for meetings and events, and this is just a small token of our tremendous appreciation,†said NPA President and CEO, Daniel Fabricant, Ph.D.
This partnership exemplifies how distinct organizations can unite in the spirit of a common cause and support the local community, recognizing the importance of honoring the U.S. Capitol Police. Not only are they a symbol of security for our Congress, but they also represent the U.S. Capitol buildings mission: To serve Congress and the Supreme Court, safeguard America’s Capitol, and inspire memorable experiences. Mr. Evans emphasized the importance of giving back, stating, “I think this is a critical time in our country to come together—and what better place to do so than right here in our nation’s capital. I encourage all organizations to do their part in giving back to their local communities as we work through these challenging times.â€
