McLean, VA (April 15, 2020) – B&A is pleased to announce the B&A says ‘Grazie Grazie’ meal donation program. B&A has partnered with local D.C. Italian Deli ‘Grazie Grazie’ to provide delicious meals to local hospital healthcare workers. This program was established to join the ongoing effort of providing relief to our DMV community from the COVID-19 global pandemic.

This dual effort is led by B&A President and CEO, Jonathan Evans, and ‘Grazie Grazie’ Owner, Casey Patten, both Penn State University graduates. The program will not only help feed all the hardworking hospital healthcare workers, but also allow the ‘Grazie Grazie’ staff to stay busy enough to keep their kitchen open. Due to the stay at home order, most restaurants are temporarily closed which makes the simple action of taking a lunch or dinner break more difficult for healthcare workers. “Serving front line hospital workers, which in turn, is helping us keep our team employed during this time is incredible” stated Mr. Patten. This program will simultaneously bring ease to both the restaurant and healthcare community.

Mr. Evans sought out the help of the Hope for Henry Foundation to identify local hospitals that needed meals provided for their staff enduring long hours and dealing with the virus and ill firsthand. On Tuesday April 14th, Children’s National – Main Hospital ICU evening staff was the first to receive 200 meals from the launch of the B&A says ‘Grazie Grazie’ program. “Thanks to the help of the Hope for Henry Foundation, we were able to provide the Children’s National evening ICU staff their first donated meal to kick-start this remarkable program” stated Mr. Evans. B&A and ‘Grazie Grazie’ will continue to work with the Hope for Henry Foundation team to identify more local hospitals who can benefit from this program. B&A hopes to call on the support of their partners and the GovCon community to help support delivery of meals to other local DMV hospitals in the coming weeks.
