B&A Named #1 in Mid-Size Employer Category of 2022 Best Places to Work in Virginia Award

February 2, 2022 – B&A was recently named one of the Best Places to Work in Virginia. This is the fourth time since 2018 that B&A has received this award. This year, however, the recognition is particularly special since B&A has been named #1 in the mid-size employer category!

This statewide survey and awards program is designed to identify, recognize, and honor the best places of employment in Virginia, benefiting the state’s economy, workforce, and businesses. The 2022 Best Places to Work in Virginia list is made up of 100 companies, with B&A leading its mid-sized category.

Virginia Business published profiles on the top-ranked companies that made their list. In B&A’s profile, President and CEO Jonathan Evans shared his thoughts about what contributed to B&A’s #1 ranking this year. “We realized that a lot of folks were struggling with what was going on in the country and the world,” says Evans. “We wanted to make sure we were taking care of our No. 1 asset.”

B&A has always placed a central focus on its employees but our dedication to our employees’ wellbeing has truly manifested in the past year with the addition of the B&A Cares Program. The launch of the B&A Cares Program included hiring a registered counselor whose role is to be available to connect with employees “on a different level than a manager,” Evans says. “That certainly resonated well with many individuals.”
